Men's Support Group

• The Men's Support Group is a weekly facilitated drop-in information and support group

• For men who have had losses or are anticipating losses-from relationahip break-up, separation, divorce, death, financial loss, health, or loss of employment

• No charge to attend

• Meetings start at 7 p.m. every Wednesday

• In the office at Catholic Family Services, across from Better Than Fred's

• Meetings will run throughout December in 2011

It is operated in cooperation with Catholic Family Services, the County of Grande Prairie No. 1, and the Grande Prairie John Howard Society; funded by the City of Grande Prairie Community Social Development/Family and Community Support Services, the partner agencies, fundraising, and donations.

Its objective is to help people increase their coping skills and social support. Research in suicide and determinants of health has indicated that these factors are associated with improved health outcomes.
